Bitemporal Phased Array
Model NMSC-003A

Features:
NMSC-003A
NMSC-003A Bitemporal Phased Array

  • Up to 400% increase in local Signal to Noise Ratio
  • New flexible design for improved ergonomics and subject comfort
  • Fully EPI compatible for ultra-high sensitivity fMRI
  • Adapter allows individual sections to be used on systems lacking multiple phased array receivers.

Description:

The Nova Medical Bitemporal Phased array maximizes the potential of any MRI system for neuroimaging. The coil is composed of two separate sections, one for each side of the head. In comparison with a birdcage head coil, the NMSC-003A provides sensitivity increase of up to 400% in cortex and up to 200% in white matter. The soft flexible design allows a close ergonomic fit to the head for maximum field of view and sensitivity.

The NMSC-003A is fully compatible with fMRI and EPI imaging. On systems lacking phased array EPI capabilities, an individual section of the NMSC-003A can be used with an adapter as a quadrature coil allowing ultra high resolution fMRI of local cortical structures in the frontal, temporal, or occipital lobes.
