Description:

The NMSC-004 Occipital Coil is designed specifically for functional imaging of the primary visual cortex. In comparison with its larger NMSC-001 Visual Coil cousin, the NMSC-004 provides coverage primarily confined to the occipital pole resulting in extremely high cortical sensitivity. Signal to noise ratio is increased up to 450% over standard whole brain volume coils. This high sensitivity allows high resolution fMRI studies of the primary visual areas with a minimum of signal averaging.
